"Our Journey to the Bottom of the Sea"
A public presentation by Jennifer Lash
Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, 7pm - 8pm

On June 8th, 2009 Jennifer Lash, Executive Director of the Living Oceans Society, led the Finding Coral Expedition on a journey to the bottom of the sea on Canada’s Pacific coast in search of deep sea corals. Piloting a one person submarine, Jennifer dived to depths of over 500 meters and saw giant coral forests, darting schools of fish, and the seafloor carpeted in brittle seastars.

Lash is visiting cities throughout Canada to share pictures, video and stories from the adventure. She will speak at Earthwise Society in South Delta Thursday, November 19th, 7:00 – 8:00pm. It will be her only lower mainland stop south of the Fraser River before she continues eastward
across Canada.

Be amazed at mysterious images of coastal biodiversity and enthralled by stories of deep, dark ocean depths, submarines, and west-coast drama.

Hosted by Earthwise Society at Earthwise Garden and Farm, 6400 3rd ave, Delta, BC (in the red barn at the corner of 3rd ave and Boundary Bay Road in Tsawwassen)
