Eco-Industrial Networking (EIN) Primer
The TEIP is building Metro Vancouver's first eco-industrial park by applying eco-industrial networking in the Tilbury area.
The concept of eco-industrial networking is described
in the 2002 GVRD
EIN Opportunities Study:
Eco-industrial networking (EIN) involves creating collaborative and cooperative relationships between and among businesses, governments and community stakeholders to reduce demand for services such as heating, cooling and transportation and use of resources such as energy, water, air and land. There is a growing interest in EIN across Canada, provincially and locally. Governments and business are using Eco-Industrial Networks as a way to enhance the financial performance and reduce the environmental impact of participating companies, and as an economic development tool for participating communities.
