Farm Apprenticeship

At Earthwise we believe the best way to learn about agriculture is to do it.  Our Earthwise Farm Apprenticeship is an intensive, hands-on programme geared towards individuals that are looking to be future farmers, want to learn more about agriculture, or want a deeper connection to our food system. 

The apprenticeship takes place throughout the growing season. Apprentices commit to at least 15 hours a week at the farm (the equivalent of at least 100 hours per growing season).  In return, Earthwise offers 20 hours of garden and agriculture workshops, and a great learning experience.

What You Will Be Learning
As an Earthwise Farm apprentice you will be an important part of our farm team, learning all aspects of the farm operation through direct experience. 

You will learn about: Compost Making, Field Prep, Soils and Soil Management, Seed Sowing, Transplanting, Weed Management, Irrigation, Integrated Pest Management, Equipment Maintenance, Harvesting and Vegetable Prep for Sale, Farm Store Set-Up, Hosting the Farm Store, and Community Supported Agriculture.
