The Boundary Bay Earthwise Garden

 

A demonstration garden of ecological landscape design

The Garden provides opportunities for the community to become stewards of the environment and to learn how to garden with the earth in mind.  Reused or recycled materials are featured in its construction. 

 

 

Activities and Objectives

Promoting earth stewardship through community education and volunteer opportunities

 

Composting education

 

Conservation of water in landscape and garden design

 

Planting native species that support songbirds, hummingbirds, butterflies beneficial

   insects and other indigenous wildlife

 

Creating beautiful lawns and gardens without pesticides or chemical fertilizers

 

Offering personal gardening opportunities to the public

 

Visit the Garden

Located at the corner of Boundary Bay Road and 3rd Avenue in South Delta, our one-acre Boundary Bay Earthwise Garden promotes environmental awareness through public education and community involvement. Tours, Workshops, Allotment Plots, Events and a Volunteer Program are offered through the Garden.  The Garden is also open from 9AM to 5PM Monday through Sunday for self-guided tours.  For more information call 604-946-9828.
